Webmasters, Think for a
moment... getting
"HITS" on your page is a gamble at best. With so
many web pages already linked, and all the "broken"
webrings... sometime it seems like it's just not worth it.
After visiting many more "Get Rich Quick" pyramid
pages than I care to mention.. (which just happens to be a
MUCH better Idea for generating a "re-generating"
web site) I've decided to bring the Idea to music pages for
what may well the first time using a NEW twist. I call it
"DONE WITH BANNERS".
The concept is easy. AND.. unlike other "Banner"
programs that require you to put their adds at the TOP of
your page.. WE shall rule the BOTTOM of the page on purpose
(just because NO-ONE else wants to be there) .
Let's face it, anyone that surfs to your page that does not have the patience to wait for it to load probably doesn't have the desire to "hang around" anyway. Keeping that in mind, if at least SOME your surfers are like me (I will wait.. just so I don't miss anything USEFUL, usually till the WHOLE page loads.. UNLESS I'm surfing for something specific) your visitors will Eventually get to the BOTTOM of your page. :-)
This is how it works:
THIS PROGRAM IS INTENDED PRIMARILY FOR MUSIC SITES ONLY !!
- I have a Music site called MIKE STRICKLAND dot NET. I want more traffic.
- You have a Music site.. YOU want more traffic.
- We are going to build a PYRAMID to generate MORE TRAFFIC than any of us can handle.
- Save this page AS IS.. (before editing) ...call it anything you wish. After making a few minor HTML changes (mentioned below), upload it to your server. You will then create a "WORKING" link to THIS page from ANY/ALL pages on your site for maximum exposure that you will place ABSOLUTELY LAST... the very BOTTOM of your page(s). The button is designed to be a "whim" or last minute thought click thru. (NOTE: If you expect FAST results, but know your site WON'T be up long, you can't expect any immediate heavy traffic. This system takes a month or so to really get working.)
- My "Banner Link" is in position ONE.. Using notepad or YOUR favorite HTML editor, move my "banner - ad" to position TWO placing YOUR banner in the number ONE slot.. (any size banner will work as there should never be more than 10 on the page at any given time) then DROP OFF the "banner - ad" currently occupying position number TEN.
- Change MY "link" on line 1 (above) to reflect YOUR e-mail address. This way, if anyone has questions (newbies or the unsure), you can assist them. Remember ANYONE who has the desire to have more hits.. and gets your "saved page" as his FIRST introduction to the system will be for YOUR benefit, as well as the remaining nine banners UNDER you.
- If only 10 people EVER link to you.. and if they only EVER get 10 to link to them, and then each of them get 10 to link... well you get the IDEA !!!
- Create mirror sites of this page (more than one) with YOUR banner to YOUR MUSIC SITE in position ONE and submit them to your favorite Search Engines.
- It usually helps to offer FREE stuff.. tab, midi, lessons, freeware, information etc. when listing your site(s).
- Try to get at least a couple of your friends/acquantances to join.. don't rely on 10 visitors right off. Get a JUMP on the program right off.
- Don't cheat !! Don't cheat !! Don't cheat !! It will actually DECREASE your hits if you do.. it's all in the MATH. Give everyone an equal chance for equal exposure.
